Putting the "Labor" back into Labor Day Weekend

This weekend we dug out our cabinet painting supplies for the final round of paint. Our custom-made garbage cabinet was installed on Thursday (Thank you GARY!) so we could get down to business painting the remaining cabinets.

Here is what the kitchen looked like before the new cabinet was installed (look to the left of our range - open garbage & recycling containers - gross!):

Then, with the unpainted cabinet:

And the modified cabinets in the corner waiting to be painted:

After painting:

We still have to finish up the doors for the cabinets and put hardware in. Hopefully we can get a sink within the next week or two so that the countertops can be ordered!

Oh! and I almost forgot...Nate is up to THREE chipmunks now.

I can't believe that summer is over. And our kitchen is not. :) Sweat equity is cheap but takes a long time! Here is our Kitchen Album so far.

It looks really fresh and clean! And I love the silver drawer pulls.

DIY is the way to go - save a bunch of cashola that way.

BTW, I meme'd your blog on 6 random things about yourself. :o)
